Rick Piña has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus the Christ for over 26 years. His daily devotional, Today’s Word, has been impacting lives all over the world for over 24 years. Part of Rick’s purpose in life is to help others discover their purpose and complete it before they die. He preaches a message of faith, hope, and grace.
Rick and his wife, Isabella, lead Rick and Isabella Piña Ministries (RIPMinistries). They oversee a church in the Dominican Republic and operate two schools (Grace Destiny Academy). The ministry provides a Christ-based education to disadvantaged children, training them to become the men/women God called them to be.
Born in Brooklyn to immigrant parents and raised in a multiracial environment, Rick easily connects with all people, of all backgrounds, at all levels. Like Paul, God has graced Rick to become all things to all people so that through the grace of God on his life, some may be saved.
Rick is also an accomplished technologist, with over 30 years of experience in the information technology field. He retired from the United States Army in 2015, after serving his nation for 25 years. His culminating assignment was serving as the United States Army Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Principal Technical Advisor to the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Rick is a sought-after thought leader in the IT/cybersecurity field. He clearly articulates the connection between emerging technology and organizational gaps and requirements.
Rick serves on multiple non-profit boards and he is very active in efforts to advance Diversity and Inclusion. He holds an M.B.A. and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Trident University. He is also a Distinguished Member of the U.S. Army Signal Regiment and a recipient of the Signal Corps Regimental Association’s Silver Order of Mercury award.
